Job description / Your role:
- Take full responsibility for the development of our cybertronic products, typically comprising one or more electric actuators, electronics, mechanical structures, software, and harnesses
- Supervise and coordinate all engineering activities required for product development, qualification, and industrial manufacturing
- Lead system engineering efforts for integrated mechanism products, ensuring performance and compliance across subsystems
- Define and manage system-level performance budgets (e.g. mass, power, thermal)
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design descriptions, development schedules, and test specifications
- Support product testing and qualification processes from prototype to flight-ready hardware
- Contribute to the Simultaneous Engineering process by collaborating with industrial process engineering teams to scale production
Qualification Checklist:
- University degree (or equivalent) in engineering, aerospace, mechatronics, or a related technical field
- Professional experience in mechanism or actuator development
- Industry experience in the space sector, particularly with space mechanisms and electromechanical actuators
- Proficiency in working with technical requirements, including authoring, reviewing, and interpreting specifications
- Strong conceptual thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Bonus Qualifications:
- Familiarity with numerical engineering tools used for structural, thermal, or motion analysis
- Initial experience in technical leadership or coordination roles
- Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes suitable for space applications
- Profound understanding of the full engineering workflow required to design, develop, and qualify space-grade actuators and electronics
- Extensive professional experience in mechanism or actuator development
