Job description / Your role:
- Manage test and qualification specifications in alignment with New Space [PB1] standards
- Define and develop test procedures for LEOspace products, including actuators, electronics, reaction wheels, and mechanisms
- Design and develop test facilities, while supporting procurement activities to enhance product development and testing
- Prepare technical documentation—such as test procedures and reports—in close collaboration with the product team and customers
- Execute tests required to de-risk or qualify our products
- Evaluate test data and assess results based on test objectives in close collaboration with the engineering team
- Coordinate with external test providers to ensure efficient and effective testing
- Support procurement processes for external testing services
- Contribute to the Simultaneous Engineering process to scale up the industrial production of space products
Qualification Checklist:
- University degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a related field
- Relevant professional experience
- Hands-on experience with hardware testing according to space standards in one or more of the following domains: thermal vacuum, mechanical, or EMC
- Proficiency in handling technical requirements (writing, reviewing, and interpreting)
- Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of requirements engineering
- Experience in test data post-processing and interpretation
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Bonus Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with (thermal) vacuum systems and knowledge of how to design, procure, and operate these systems.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical testing, including preparation of tests, use of acceleration sensors, and test execution
- Experience with commercial data acquisition hardware and software
